Understanding vitiligo, a rare skin condition.
The condition happens because the cells that make pigment in the skin are destroyed

Vitiligo is a skin condition that causes the peeling of the skin to expose the inner layer. Some studies show that  one in every 200 Ugandans has vitiligo.

The condition happens because the cells that make pigment in the skin are destroyed. These cells are called melanocytes.

In Health Focus, Josephine Karungi shares the story of two women and a girl living with the condition.
