Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of the 24-year-old wife of a former city ward representative.

Ex-Riruta ward rep Samwel Ndung’u was charged at the Kiambu High Court with the murder of his wife, Ms Lucy Njambi, who was raped and her body doused in acid by her attackers last month.

The attackers then dumped her at Kamiti Corner. A Good Samaritan, who found her crawling on the road, rushed her to the Kiambu Level Five Hospital.

She was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital where she succumbed to the injuries on January 26.

The head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Kiambu, Paul Wambugu, who is the chief investigating officer, told Justice Joel Ngugi that a suspect, a lady, was arrested Monday morning.

Mr Wambugu also told the court that the other suspect was apprehended last week.
