Falling food prices cause inflation to drop
Chris Mukiza the director Macroeconomics Ubos however says demand for other goods and services has decreased, leaving statisticians predicting further action by the Central Bank.

A fall in food prices has seen inflation come down to 6.4 percent compared to 7.2% registered in May.

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics attributes the drop to a gradual drop in commodity prices in the month of May and June.

However, Chris Mukiza, the director of macroeconomics UBOS, says demand for other goods and services has decreased, leaving statisticians predicting further action by the Central Bank.
