Kaweesi murder suspects case postponed due to state prosecutors' strike
The suspects who had appeared before Grade One Magistrate Noah Sajjabi did not learn the status of the investigations into their case as state prosecutors are on strike.

Twenty people charged for the murder of former AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi have been sent back to Luzira prison by Nakawa chief magistrate's court.

The suspects who had  appeared before Grade One Magistrate Noah Sajjabi did not learn the status of the investigations into their case as state prosecutors are on strike. The magistrate adjourned proceedings to the 26th of July with orders that the accused are further remanded.

They suspects also face charges of terrorism and aggravated robbery and wait to be committed to the High Court for trial.

On Wednesday, the state prosecutors laid down their tools in a strike against low salaries and other concerns like unfair promotions policy.

Kaweesi was killed in March, together with his bodyguard and driver in Kampala.
