Mulago Hospital goes two weeks without medical supplies, blames crisis on NMS

NTV has leant that for two weeks last month Mulago National Referral Hospital ran without medical supplies from the National Medical Stores.

Patients, especially those in the casualty wing, felt the pinch the most, as they were directed to buy medicines expensively from private pharmacies near the hospital.

Mulago Hospital spokesperson, Enoch Kusasira, has blamed the crisis on National Medical Stores, which was carrying out stock-taking at the end of the financial year.
