The National super alliance's (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has rejected calls from various circles seeking to get him to participate in the re-run of the Kenyan presidential election. The election is scheduled for the 26th of this month.

However, Mr Odinga told his supporters he will not be compelled to participate in the re-run of the presidential polls, this follows attempts to convince him to participate in the election.

Raila says the only way to get him on the ballot is to meet the demands NASA has made, and continue to press for them through street demonstrations.

The veteran politician wants the country's Independent and electoral boundaries commission disbanded and leadership replaced before he can participate in the election re-run.

And following various defections from his coalition, Mr Odinga also accused the Jubilee party of setting up a defectors fund, to accommodate political rejects from the opposition.
