In the Middle Ages, Catholics blended Hebrew, Greek and Latin cultures in their liturgical music.

After the second Vatican Ecumenical Council in the early 1960s, Catholic music was revolutionized to take in music styles from all cultures across the world.

It was also the time Catholics began singing and worshipping in local languages during the liturgy or mass.

The Rev. Fr. Father James Kabuye, a priest for more than 50 years, has been pivotal in advancing Contemporary Catholic Liturgical music.
