Humanity must vigorously fight racism, tribalism

Can Kenya’s courts decide how a Kenyan abroad must travel to face justice back home?

A Nation sub-editor starkly posed that question in a page one headline on Tuesday: “Miguna free to fly back home, [Kenya’s] High Court rules”.

First, why “to fly”? I ask because I do not think the judge had really specified how the controversial lawyer must travel. For flying is not the only way in which a Kenyan can return home.

As Okot p’Bitek might have put it – amid thunderstorms of laughter – you can also come “by leg”.

I once travelled by ship from Marseilles, France, to Mombasa. Miguna Miguna – if you’ve never heard of him – is a dedicated Kenyan oppositionist, who has long-lived on the edge of the law in the name of what his Caucasian Euro-American admirers allege to be the touchstone of democratic behaviour.

COLONISE
It is not accidental that Caucasian Western Europe and North America have been the bases from which even the most undemocratic Third World political exiles have delivered the most scathing attacks on the often admittedly imperfect ruling systems at home.

By its upbringing, the Western European and North American elite is usually quick to look down upon the mental abilities and cultural status of non-Caucasian societies.

The Western European-North American intelligentsia has been the chief critic of all those Third World societies claiming to reject the political gospels of the Western European-North American elite – societies which – in amazing ignorance of the way evolution works – have also boldly flaunted their own skin colour, bushy bodily hair and thin lips as the human attributes par excellence.

It was for that reason that the ruling classes of such peoples once subjected all non-Caucasian human beings to the most inhuman and most degrading treatment all over the world.

It was thus that they raised the question of how a civilised and omniscient human society can be so tiny-minded.

MEDIA

No, the newspaper did not say how the manner in which Mr Miguna must travel home had come to concern a European court of law.

It was thus a failing, not of the courtroom system itself. No, it was a failing strictly of journalism.

Caucasian Western Press reportage of the Third World’s processes in such activities as competitive politics and legal justice has frequently been characterised by the arrogant assumption that a non-Caucasian society is inherently incapable of certain systems that Caucasian colonialism had recently downloaded onto the World through very inhuman Caucasian Europe’s thought-activities.

Notwithstanding the outward differences into which nature has divided humanity so as to protect all of us adequately from our planet’s biological survival variations, humanity remains a single species.

Though science has enabled us to discover that fact so late in our specific career, the important fact remains that science has done so.

SCIENCE
If, originally, our specific intelligence included knowledge of the significance of such a discovery, humanity – all of it – might now be approaching the only heaven possible for our species – namely, universal recognition that only through active positive brotherhood and sorority shall we one day make our whole humanity universally manifest.

Indeed, no matter how influential a group’s propaganda may be, not another Adolf Hitler is likely ever again to be able to poison the human mind with such infantile ease as the tragic racial self-glorifications, especially among Europe’s Teutonic people recently – the same Germanic Europeans who have most plagued the world with their alleged racial superiority.
