A section of Members of Parliament pushing for an investigation into the controversial six billion shillings oil cash now claim to have received threats to back off the probe.

This, as the lawmakers plan to table on the floor of Parliament a request to have the house formally begin to inquire into how the money was paid out to some 42 public officers as a token of appreciation for winning a land mark oil tax arbitration case in London.

The MPs say Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has already cleared the motion and they are set to table it on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday.
