Lira police arrests 34 mourners for attending a criminal's burial
David Ongom says the arrested concealed the fact that the person they were burying was a known criminal and had just been released from prison.

34 mourners were yesterday arrested by police in Lira for compounding felony.

Police spokesperson for North Kyoga,  David Ongom says the mourners were rounded off by police at around 5 pm in relation to the four people who were murdered in Lira Municipality.

The arrests came when the mourners who went for burial failed to report that the deceased was a known criminal but went ahead to attend the event hence attracting felony charges.
