Over 300,000 candidates to seat for final o'level exams
The executive secretary of Uganda national examination board Dan Nokrach Odongo, says the number of girls and boys sitting for this year's examinations has almost closed the gender gap with girls coming at 49.

A total of 326149 candidates registered to sit for the Uganda Certificate of education of the year 2017, which will start tomorrow Friday with a briefing of candidates around the country.The executive secretary of Uganda national examination board Dan Nokrach Odongo, says the number of girls and boys sitting for this year's examinations has almost closed the gender gap with girls coming at 49.

The Uganda Certificate of education candidates will tomorrow go in for a briefing that will prepare them to sit for their final exams of O level starting on the 16 of this month.

The Uganda Examination board has a total number of registered candidates at 326,149.

Of those candidates form government schools under universal secondary education is 151,894 while private school candidates are 174,255.
