Sudan president Omar Al-Bashir begins 2 day state visit
This visit, like the previous one last year, is likely to attract criticism from rights groups as he is wanted by ICC for war crimes in Darfur.

Sudan’s President Omar Al-Bashir has arrived in the country for a two-day state visit. He is accompanied by senior government officials and the business community.

The business delegation will be seeking opportunities for trade, investment and business partnerships.

Bashir is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Yoweri Museveni on a number of areas including trade, investment, agriculture and regional peace and security.

This is Bashir’s second visit to  Uganda in two years after attending President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing-in on May 12th last year.

This visit, like the previous one last year, is likely to attract criticism from rights groups as he is wanted by ICC for war crimes in Darfur.
