Newly-formed Taita Taveta All Stars FC’s coach Idris Mohamed is convinced his team’s draw against Kariobangi Sharks in a friendly match shows they will perform well in the National Division Two League.

Mohamed said the one-all draw against the Kenya Premier League side was “a clear indication that the team is good and can do wonders in the league.”

The county team shared the spoils with Sharks in a friendly match at Nairobi’s Camp Toyoyo on Wednesday.

The coach added that they benefited from a coaching clinic conducted by Mathare United head coach Francis Kimanzi at Parklands where the Coastal team had camped. They intend to play two more matches against Bandari FC and National Division One League team Mwatate United.

Team manager Basil Mwakulomba said the team has picked positives from the match against Sharks and that the tour earned the boys lots of exposure. “It was a good exposure to the players and the technical bench, we gained valuable experience,” he said.
