WON FIRST GAME

FC Talanta won their first game of the season, beating newcomers Green Commandos 3-1 at Bukhungu Stadium to jump from the relegation zone to 12th.

In another match played at Mbaraki SC, hosts Coast Stima drew 2-2 with Nairobi Stima in a Kenya Power affair.

Elsewhere, KCB coach John Kamau expressed delight after his side notched their first win under him, edging favourites Ushuru 1-0.

Former AFC Leopards winger, Simon Abuko scored the only goal in that match at Camp Toyoyo in Nairobi on Sunday.

Kamau’s win came after a 1-0 loss away to Modern Coast Rangers the previous weekend. Hosts, Kibera Black Stars, for the second this season time walked home with maximum points beating Nakuru All Stars 1-0 at Hope Centre.

“I am happy my boys maintained the focus as we wait for the next fixture,” said an elated Black Stars coach, Godfrey Oduor popularly known as “Sollo”.
