In his first major policy announcement as FDC President, Patrick Amuriat Oboi has announced an isolation campaign against the 317 MPs who voted for the constitutional amendment bill 2017.

The bill removed the Age limit cap on those trying to stand for the presidency, returned Presidential term limits, and also increased the MPs electoral term from 5 years to 7 years.

Addressing journalists at the party headquarters in Najjanakumbi, the party president Patrick Amuriat said party officials are to go out and mobilize members of the public to isolate all the 317 MPs who voted in favour of the age limit removal

He says since the MPs voted against the will of Ugandans, they should not be allowed to speak at any public function like funerals and in church.

The opposition has been united in its opposition to the Age limit law, and the announcement by the FDC president follows a declaration by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, that he would be representing 6 MPs at the constitutional court as they challenge the Age limit law.
