FDC to challenge Age limit act in court
The FDC officials also said that they are disappointed with the MPs that voted for the passing of the age limit law.

The Forum for Democratic Change party says it will challenge the process through which the now constitutional amendment act 2017 removing the presidential age limit was passed in parliament.

The party’s decision to go court was announced by the party President Patrick Amuriat Boi during a press briefing at the FDC Headquarters on Monday morning.

Patrick Amuriat Oboi begun his first media briefing as president of the Forum for Democratic Change party by sending condolences to the family of the deceased former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo.

Amuriat thereafter denounced the passing of the Constitutional Amendment No. 2 Bill of 2017, which removed presidential age limits and extended presidential and parliamentary terms of office from 5 years to 7.

The FDC officials also said that they are disappointed with the MPs that voted for the passing of the age limit law.
