LC Elections: EC waits presidential assent to election amendments bill, warns against early campaigns
Taremwa also warned members of the public against early campaigns because until the campaign schedule is released there is no reason to disrupt public life with campaigns.

The spokesperson of the Electoral Commission Jotham Taremwa has said the commission is now waiting for the president to accent to the Local Council election amendment bill 2016 passed by parliament this week to release a schedule for the Local Council polls.

Taremwa also warned members of the public against early campaigns because until the campaign schedule is released there is no reason to disrupt public life with campaigns.
