MPs seven year term dominates day four of the Age limit petition hearing
The Deputy Attorney General also informed court that no money was taken from the Consolidated Fund to facilitate MPs to consult on the age limit bill

Deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana has argued before the Constitutional Court that Ugandans were consulted and approved the extension of the term of Members of Parliament and local council leaders from five to seven years.

However, the five Justices tasked Rukutana to prove whether the right procedures were followed in introducing the term extension which was even not part of the original Constitutional Amendment Bill tabled by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi.

The Deputy Attorney General also informed court that no money was taken from the Consolidated Fund to facilitate MPs to consult on the age limit bill
