Parliament asks UCC to probe Charles Rwomushana remarks calling female MPs prostitutes
Rwomushana says he stands by the remarks, which he made while appearing on a talkshow on NBS, saying the MPs had sold their conscience for a pittance to the ruling NRM party.

Parliament has tasked the telecom and broadcasting sector regulator, the Uganda Communications Communication to investigate remarks attributed to controversial political commentator, Charles Rwomushana, in which he said some female MPs were behaving like prostitutes.

This followed complains to the speaker by some female legislators that Rwomushana’s statements demeaned them as representatives of the people and cast aspersions on the MPs.

But, Rwomushana says he stands by the remarks, which he made while appearing on a talkshow on NBS, saying the MPs had sold their conscience for a pittance to the ruling NRM party.
