Nandala Mafabi arrested in Mbale as police battles pro-Age limit supporters
One person fainted as result of inhaling a lot of tear gas and police had to rush him to the hospital, while others were seen washing their faces with water.

Police in Mbale was involved in running battles with the crowds on the streets of Mbale led by the MP for Budadiri West Nathan Nandala Mafabi.

They were demonstrating against the removal of age limit for the presidency, and police had to use live bullets, and tear gas to disperse the angry crowds who were singing and dancing to togiktwatako songs.

The running battles started at around 4:40 until 6 pm when Nandala and 2 other youths who were commanding other people were arrested.

Sowed Mansur Elgon police PRO confirmed that Nandala is being held at CPS Mbale and is going to be charged for inciting the public and warned that they are not going to allow any  MPs from other districts to hold public rallies in Mbale. 

Some of the locals vowed to continue demonstrating.
