MPs in favour of constitutional amendment given security
Kampala Metropolitan police commander Frank Mwesigwa revealed that they provided the security after some MPs claimed their lives had been placed in harms way

Police have beefed up security for lawmakers  who are seeking to amend a provision in the Constitution that caps the age to contest the presidency at 75.

Kampala Metropolitan police commander Frank Mwesigwa revealed that they provided the security after some MPs claimed their lives had been placed in harms way for supporting the age limit amendment.

He also revealed that there are plans to increase security around the precincts of Parliament as plans are underway to table the contentious private members bill.
