Kenyan driver Manvir Baryan wins 2017 Pearl of Africa rally

Kenyan driver Manvir Baryan has won the 2017 V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda rally as a couple of top local drivers dropped out of the event at it’s early stages.

Christakis Fitidis came second ahead of Belgian Giancarlo Davinte. Arthur Blick  was airlifted back to Kampala with a fractured hand after his car rolled.

Other stillbirths in Kayunga included Ambrose Byona, Desh Kananura and national rally championship leader Ronald Ssebuguzi.
