Uganda Cranes to play 2 international friendly games before African Nations Championship kick off
The Frenchman Sebastien Desabre leaves the country tomorrow with 25 players after Daniel Isiagi and Godfrey Lwesibawa were dropped this morning.

New Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre will have two international build-up games before selecting the final 23-strong squad that will fly Uganda’s flag at the 2018 African Nations Championship.

The Frenchman leaves the country tomorrow with 25 players after Daniel Isiagi and Godfrey Lwesibawa were dropped this morning.

Desabre who has been in charge of the Uganda Cranes for barely a week believes the international build-up games will give him a better understanding of the players.

The Frenchman says though he prefers an attacking brand of football, the trial games in Morocco will give him a picture of what tactics to adopt for the tournament.

Team captain Bernard Muwanga says the players intend to achieve a first by making it out of their group. The players also want to give their all to the tournament as a way of rallying behind their new coach.

The Cranes are placed in the same group with 2016 semifinalists Ivory Coast, Zambia and Namibia.
