CAF Confederation Cup: KCCA FC need point to clinch quarter final place
After five matchdays, KCCA FC finds itself leading the group on account of a 3-1 win over FUS Rabat giving it a better head-to-head than Tunisia’s Club Africain.

Group A of the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup is tight with all four teams in the group, including Ugandan representatives KCCA FC, having a chance of progressing to the quarterfinals.

When the draws were made Group A looked like and easy group on paper but it has turned out to be anything but easy.

After five match days, KCCA FC finds itself leading the group on account of a 3-1 win over FUS Rabat giving it a better head-to-head than Tunisia’s Club Africain.

Before matchday five panned out, FUS Rabat topped Group A with a healthy goal difference. But it is an indication of how things change swiftly in the group that the Moroccan outfit now finds itself rock bottom following the loss at the StarTimes Stadium. 

KCCA FC will now wind up its group stage matches will a fixture away to Tunisia’s Club Africain. The Ugandan outfit will progress as group winners should it avoid defeat in Radès. It will, however, come up against a confident Club Africain side. This after the Tunisian side became the first entity in Group A to win on their travels following a 2-0 win over Rivers United FC.
