Vipers Sports Club, the two-time Ugandan champions have unveiled Portuguese Jorge Miguel da Costa as their new coach. Da Costa joins Vipers having previously handled Nigerian outfit Ambrose Duru Chukuma.
Still only 37, the little known Portuguese tactical has been tasked with building a strong academy to replenish the first team. Da Costa will have little time to find his feet as he will be in the dugout at St Mary’s Stadium when Vipers host South Africa’s Platinum Stars in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday.
Da Costa, who has been handed a three-year contract, became the club’s first substantive appointment since relieving Abdallah Mubiru of his duties in December.
