Frenchman Sébastien Desabre handles first training session
It was a full house as The Cranes commenced their preparations for the 2018 African Nations Championship in Luzira

New Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre first day at work was characterized by tight competition among the 36 players.

The players are battling for the 23 slots up for grabs in the team that will represent Uganda at the African Nations Championship finals or Chan due in Morocco next month.

Desabre took charge of his first training session as Cranes coach this afternoon at Maroon FC grounds in Luzira.

The Frenchman believes the players are in good shape.

Desabre will be assisted by Matia Lule and goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba

Midfielder Saddam Juma says the French coach has already brought a feel-good factor back to the team.

Meanwhile, a Uganda Cranes select side will travel to Kasana Sports grounds in Luwero to play in a build-up game.
