The panel discusses the state of opposition politics in Uganda in the wake of recent appointments of opposition politicians to cabinet, and other government positions, by President Yoweri Museveni.

The discussion comes in the wake of the appointment of Muhammad Kezaala, the Democratic Party national chairperson, as deputy ambassador.

Kezaala's appointment comes months after UPC MP Betty Amongi (also wife to UPC faction leader James Akena) was appointed lands minister and Beti Kamya, the President of the Uganda Federal Alliance (and former member of the Forum for Democratic Change) as minister for Kampala.
