On the Farm: Passion fruit farming
British national, John Pedley moved to Kabale a few years ago and set up a flourishing passion fruit farm.

Kabale district in South Western Uganda is famous for apples and Irish potato growing. But one settler farmer, a British national, John Pedley is into growing passion fruit. He says he makes over 200 million shillings per harvest on his 13 acre piece of land, which he plans to expand. Pedley is eyeing the European market by exporting passion fruit juice and hopes to make three billion shillings every year.
