President Museveni's Luweero drip irrigation experiment bares fruit
The president said he’s already reaping from the farm, saying he now gets a weekly income from passion fruits and the chicken.

In October 2016, president Yoweri Museveni planted a number of food crops including bananas and fruits like pineapples, passion fruits and fish farming.

This was amidst a dry spell, that saw the president demonstrate the importance of irrigation like drip irrigation using water bottles.

This morning, the president invited journalists to his Farm in Kawumu, Luweero district, to witness the harvest. He first harvested fish from his fish ponds and later tomatoes. He believes, it is an achievement to be poor, wondering why Ugandans are still despising agriculture.
