NTV’s Douglas Lwanga Paints Mbarara Purple with Massive Party

From the word go, when NTV’s Douglas Lwanga the CEO of the Annual Purple Party decided to take it regional, party lovers have raved and truly danced to the tunes of the event theme.Sponsored by NTVUganda, Purple Party awareness began with an activation on Friday evening at Mbarara University of Science and Technology.

On Saturday, the long awaited party was held at Rwizi Arch Hotel –Mbarara Rwebikona off the Fort Portal-Kasese Road.

How Purple Party Mbarara went down.

Marching to Rwizi Arch Hotel as early as 7PM on Saturday night, revellers were treated to the best of DJ mixes to warm them up as show-time approached. A photo shoot session on the purple party and the party backdrops was irresistible as many of the revellers were seen pulling all kinds of poses for the best pictures.

Later, MC Isaac officially kicked off the show as the crowd had swelled with performances from Western Uganda based artistes taking to stage with those from Mbarara dominating as expected. Revellers enjoyed this session that saw artistes like Penny Patra, Amaani Amanger, and Ray Jay croone to the joy of the partiers.

NTV’s MC Esco later took to the stage alongside Selector Jay, DJ Bryan, MC Kats, DJ Slick Stuart and Roja and added onto the fans’ excitement when they played the best of the music the crowd danced to.  Uganda’s self-proclaimed ‘Spin Doctor’ DJ Shiru took the wheels-of-steel played the best of thejams which made the crowd go wild.

Mbarara locals truly embraced the party, as many were clad in the amazing purple attire.
