Former presidential candidate Major General Benon Biraaro has taken it upon himself to try and broker a dialogue between President Yoweri Museveni and FDC's Kizza Besigye in an attempt to bring an end to the impasse between the two men.
President Museveni was recently re-elected as president of Uganda. However, Dr. Kizza Besigye, who was vying against Museveni, has refused to accept the results of the election, which he claims he won.
Besigye has been under house arrest since the election results were announced. The police says Besigye is being kept under detention at home because they believe he is intent on causing unrest in the country.
Biraaro talks about his efforts to get the two men to talk and create a situation where the tension that has gripped parts of the country since elections results were announced can be reduced.
