The row between Parliament and the Judiciary over Shs6B oil cash payments
On the spot is the former leader of Opposition Prof. Ogenga Latigo, law don Associate Professor Christopher Mbazira and former Bubulo East MP Simon Mulongo.

The doctrine of the separation of power was tested this week when a political firestorm elicited by 6bn shs doled out to government technocrats put the House and Judiciary at loggerhead.

The Deputy Chief Justice Steven Kavuma whose controversial decisions have come under the microscope issued an interim order restricting debate on the matter after a private citizen petitioned him.

However, in what appears to be a mockery of the justice system, the law firm which had engaged in these legal gymnastics withdrew their petition seeking to block the debate.
