Bunyoro farmers told to boost crop production for oil sector supply

Farmers in the Bunyoro Sub-Region have been tasked to take advantage of the Kabalega International Airport, the refinery, and EACOP by growing large volumes of crops that can be supplied to the oil sector. According to the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, agriculture—aligned with the oil and gas sector—will create jobs, improve business opportunities, expand the trade balance, and unlock new export markets for the country.
