More than 1,000 athletes are expected to participate in the 2026 National Cross Country Championships, which will be held at Mbale Golf Course on November 15th. The championships, taking place earlier than usual, will be used by the Uganda Athletics Federation to select the national team that will represent Uganda at the World Cross Country Championships on January 10th, 2026.
