New electronics production plant in Namanve to cut reliance on Asian imports
Uganda is establishing a technology manufacturing plant at Namanve Industrial Park, Namanve Industrial Park in Namanve, to produce electronics that the country has traditionally imported from Asia, including hairdryers, refrigeration parts, and other electronic components. At the launch, ICT Minister Monica Musenero stated that they are targeting both local and international markets.
