NSSF's program benefits 11,305 women-led businesses
The NSSF says about 11,305 women-led small businesses have benefited from its Hi-Innovator program, an initiative that offers apprenticeship and seed capital to small and growing businesses. Alex Rumanyika, the NSSF Head of Strategy and Performance, says the program has so far successfully funded over 242 businesses across all sectors of the economy, with 79% being women-owned businesses, receiving a total of Ugx 18 billion in seed funding.
