CNOOC Awards 300 top students in Bunyoro districts
CNOOC Uganda Limited has awarded 300 of the best-performing students from the districts of Hoima, Kikuube, and Hoima City. The students were drawn from those who excelled in the 2024 Uganda National Examinations Board at the primary and secondary school levels. The beneficiaries shared a cheque of 73 million shillings to help with their scholastic needs. The move is an annual gesture by the petroleum firm to the locals in the area. Of the beneficiaries, 88 are from Hoima City, 86 from Hoima District, and 126 from Kikuube. They also include 6 students with disabilities. Since the inception of the programme over ten years ago, 1,448 students have benefited from it.
