Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola wins Kawempe North by-election
Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola is now the next Kawempe North Member of Parliament after the Electoral Commission declared him the winner of the by-election held on Thursday. The opposition National Unity Platform party flagbearer got 17,764 votes, while his closest rival, Farida Nambi, the candidate for the ruling National Resistance Movement party, bagged 8,593 votes.
