Experts skeptical of Museveni's Anti-Corruption address
Governance experts say the address on corruption by President Museveni at Thursday's State of the Nation Address will likely be a repetition of rhetoric. They say the effect of any new strategies the president might unveil in his address will have an unseen effect comparable to the march he led in Kampala against corruption in 2019. They caution that the indecisiveness by the government against corruption risks lowering the rate of direct foreign investments and further crippling the economy through sanctions.
