Government to distribute coffee seedlings to farmers
President Museveni resumed his countrywide wealth creation tour with a rally in the Kakumiro district today. The president, who had taken a break to campaign for the Kisoro district woman MP by-election, returned to the trail, with a call to the locals to grow more coffee as the move towards value addition gains traction. The president also confirmed that the government would soon distribute more coffee seedlings to farmers there to raise their crop yields. The call came as he also formally introduced the four-acre model to farmers in Kakumiroto enable smallholder farmers to improve their domestic incomes.
