IGG launches probe into NFA over forest land mis-allocation
The Inspector of Government has launched an investigation into the National Forestry Authority following numerous reports of misallocation of forest land, procurement, and recruitment. According to the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Betty Kamya Namisango, they have received about 34 accounts from different sources, including whistleblowers, newspapers, and others. The IGG office investigations team is now camped at the NFA offices in Bugolobi, Kampala, and they are expected to be there for three months.
