Kacuro Primary pupils boycott classes over poor results

Pupils at Kacuro Primary School in Kyanamira Sub-county, Kabale District, have failed to report for school for the second consecutive day. The boycott stems from a long-standing dispute between the headteacher, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and the school management committee, which has been struggling with the school's poor academic performance.

According to Mr. Timothy Katoma, Chairperson of the Finance and Development Committee on the school management committee, the school has not recorded a single first-grade student in the 15 years since the current headteacher took office.

Furthermore, Mr. Katoma revealed that the school, which started in 1965, does not have a Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) center or an examination sitting center.
