The leadership of the National Unity Platform, led by party President Robert Kyagulanyi, is en route to Bundibugyo District for resumed mobilization tours.
Kyagulanyi, who left Kampala at 6:00 am accompanied by the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Joel Ssenyonyi, reached Fort Portal City without incident and is now on the last leg of the journey.
Last week, the party reached another agreement with the police to resume activities that were stopped after the Masaka tour, during which two people perished in an accident involving the motorcade.
They are restricted from moving a large number of vehicles, overspeeding, and carrying people on car roofs.
