Lawyers file habeas corpus for Besigye, Lutale
Lawyers for incarcerated veteran opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye and his aide Obeid Lutale have filed a habeas corpus application to compel Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka and Commissioner of Prisons Johnson Byabashaija to appear in court. They seek an explanation from the senior government officials as to why they have disregarded the Supreme Court's decision, which annulled the trial of civilians by the General Court Martial.
