Low participation in Voter Register update, says EC
The Electoral Commission admits that the voter register update exercise has not seen as much participation as anticipated by the public. According to Julius Mucunguzi, the spokesperson of the Independent Electoral Commission, the low turnout is due to a lack of interest from many underage potential voters who were looking to participate in the upcoming election.
