Mandela Stadium cleared for Uganda's World Cup Qualifiers
The Confederation of African Football has cleared the Mandela National Stadium to host Uganda's next two FIFA 2026 World Cup qualification games. The venue has been out of service for nearly four years, but on May 1st, it hosted two Star Times Uganda Premier League games to test its capability. Uganda has three points after a defeat to Guinea and a win against Somalia in the opening two games.
