Muntu: Violence in Kawempe by-election a government tactic
Former Army Commander Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu argues that the recent violence during the Kawempe North by-election campaigns is a tool being used by the government to instill fear in the populace, discouraging them from turning up to vote for change. Maj. Gen. Muntu, the founder and president of the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) party, said that the security forces don't have to deploy the army to oversee a by-election.
