RDC warns against politicians undermining poverty eradication efforts in Koboko

Wednesday July 17 2024

Koboko District's Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Emmy Mitala, has issued a stern warning to politicians who undermine government initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty nationwide. He emphasized that despite extensive government efforts to eradicate poverty, some Ugandans continue to choose to remain in impoverished conditions.

Speaking today during an inspection of ongoing training for approximately 1100 beneficiaries of the Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project (DRDIP) in Koboko District, Mitala highlighted the importance of programs focusing on entrepreneur and business skills. The training, which is currently underway and facilitated by Enterprise Uganda in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, has drawn participants from Koboko and Yumbe Districts.
