Sebei, Karamoja elders partner with Gov’t, UNFPA to fight Female Genital Mutilation
The high rates of school dropouts in Karamoja and Sebei region has been blamed on harmful cultural practices such as Female Genital Mutilation, early marriages, teenage pregnancies, among others. Leaders in the region are increasingly worried and are devising means to reduce the practices to improve education.
