Some MPs say censure motion violates rules of procedure
Some members of parliament have objected to appending their signature to a censure motion for four backbench commissioners of parliament who are accused of awarding themselves a total of UGX 1.7 billion without the approval of parliament. Those who object say that the collection of signatures violates parliament's rules of procedure and that the motion is not backed by evidence. The mover of the motion Theodore Ssekikubo says they are not violating any rules, and they have so far collected 131 out of the 177 signatures required to move the motion.
